Detroit songwriter Ted Lucas’ 1975 self-titled LP was nearly lost to time. Written in Ted’s own attic, it splits space between beatific folk songs and extended ragas, evidence of his time studying under the great Ravi Shankar. In this episode of Midnight Music Review in the Attic, Salvador Cresta and Jason Woodbury speak with Mike Dutkewych, author of the liner notes that accompany the Third Man Records reissue of this record that should be considered a classic. Join us in the attic, as we open up the chapters of Ted Lucas’ countercultural history.
