French songwriter Melody Prochet, aka Melody’s Echo Chamber has announced her fourth studio album, Unclouded, out December 5 via Domino Record Company. For this album, Melody teamed with a killer cast of collaborators, including Swedish jazz artist Sven Wunder, who co-produced the record, Madlib and DJ Shadow collaborator Malcolm Catto, and Leon Michels, known for work with the El Michels Affair, Wu-Tang Clan, Norah Jones and Beyonce and Jay-Z’s The Carters. The result is a record that brings funk and soul touches to Melody’s intricate indie pop—as singles like “In the Stars” and “Daisy” suggest. Fans of Stereolab, Broadcast, and Tame Impala will dig it, for sure.
