It’s been 19 years since Evan Dando dropped his last self-titled album with The Lemonheads, but after that nearly two decade wait, the Dando delay will come to an end: on Friday, October 24, the jangle pop band will release Love Chant, featuring all new songs and guests like J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr, Juliana Hatfield, and members of The Real Kids and The Bevis Frond.
The band released a new single along with the announcement, called “In the Margin,” and it follows the previously released new tune “Deep End,” also featured on the new album. Along with the new music, on October 7th, Dando will release a memoir called Rumors of My Demise, documenting the songwriter’s rise and battles with addiction.
