Released in November 1985, Psychocandy by Scottish band The Jesus and Mary Chain remains one of the best albums of all time, equal parts sugar and fuzzed out danger.
Now, Jack White’s Third Man Records has announced an 40th anniversary edition of Psychocandy as its Vault Package #65.
The boxset includes a 2xLP version of the record, a live recording, and a metallic gold 7” featuring the rare cut “Jesus Fuck” b/w a “Just Like Honey” demo version.
Pressed at 45 RPM, Third Man Records promises this is one only the loudest pressing of Psychocandy ever issued, but one of the loudest records you’ve ever heard period, cut by Warren Defever at Third Man Mastering.
