You already know that on January 23rd, indie pop duo The Format release their highly anticipated new album, Boycott Heaven. But did you know that on January 17 and 18th, you have a chance to hear it a week early? That’s right, The Format is hosting listening parties at over 100 independent record stores that weekend, complete with special posters and limited edition sticky passes. The band will also be spending release week on an acoustic tour, with even more record store action, including a release day live performance at Zia Records in Phoenix on the 23rd, a bash at Phoenix shop Stinkweeds on the 24th, a stop at Fingerprints in Long Beach on the 25th, Easy Street in Seattle on the 27th, and a January 29 stop at Rough Trade Records in New York City.
