Fleet Foxes songwriter Robin Pecknold is heading out on a solo tour. The five-date trek starts in Burlington, Vermont on April 22nd and concludes in New York on April 29th, where Pecknold will join New Yorker writer Amanda Petrusich and The Westerlies at the 92nd Street Y for a tribute to the music of singer/songwriter Judee Sill. Though she was the first artist signed to David Geffen’s Asylum Records in the ‘70s, the late Sill never achieved the mainstream success of her labelmates like Jackson Browne, The Eagles, and Linda Ronstadt. Nonetheless, her “occult-holy-Western-Baroque gospel sound” continues to influence the indie folk scene. In 2022, Pecknold appeared in a documentary about her work, Lost Angel: The Genius of Judee Sill. The Fleet Foxes’ most recent recording are a set of live albums, 2021’s A Very Lonely Solstice and 2024’s Live On Boston Harbor.
